Do you ladies feed your babies fish?

I read it’s a high allergen food for infants which makes me nervous. The other night, my husband gave our son a tiny bite of tuna and he loved it. So I bought him some Alaskan canned salmon to eat with some quinoa soon. Should I be extra careful when I feed him this? How do you ladies feed your babes fish? Drop some ideas :)

Mine started eating fish at 5 months. It’s one of the first foods we give in the Mediterranean. Salmon, anchovies, sardines, all wonderful. Just not a lot of tuna because the high mercury content builds up in babies quickly.

My daughter loves to eat grilled salmon. Usually I just throw on salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. I have made it with a light brown sugar glaze as well.

We started fish in 8vmonths . Now he eats salmon, trout, tuna, Haka  crab, lobster,  prawns . So far no allergies.

Yes. I gave my daughter salmon so far and tuna fish. Tried a little bit at a time and made sure to keep Benadryl incase. No food allergies thus far.

My son had an allergic reaction. I would treat the first few bites of any new food the same, wait for reaction/non-reaction. If baby is good, go for it

i get microwaveable frozen fish fillets, so easy to prepare! my boy loves fish. so far he’s tried salmon, cod and haddock. i read that it’s not advisable to give too much oily fish a week because they contain higher levels of contaminants. girls can only have half as much as boys.

I don’t think fish is that big of an allergen. Shellfish yes, fish no. The sooner you introduce allergens, the better! I don’t foresee an issue, especially since babe already had tuna. Good luck!

We have done tuna and salmon bc they're really the only fish we eat. I'll offer him other options when we eat them! 👍🏻

Frozen cod in single serving bags. Nabe eat it over 3 days - marinated in lemon juice, olive oil, paprika, and Italian herbs.
