So after losing my son at full term in December, and having an emergency c-section trying to save him (failed), I am pregnant again, and I am now a day shy of 9 weeks.

My doctor and I have already discussed my having another c-section as I will not be eligible for a VBAC because the babies are too close together. Now I knew all of this before I got pregnant, and I’m totally fine with this.

I am due mid January, but they are planning (assuming the high risk doctor approves it, though my doctor assures me they will given my history) to do the c-section scheduled at 37-38 weeks to avoid me having any contractions (almost lost my first son in labor, and the second baby I was in labor for 3 days and baby had a neuchal loop, but the contractions were never strong enough that I went to the hospital and he passed from lack of oxygen to the brain... no ones fault and don’t even try to tell me it’s mine because the doctor told me I would’ve been sent home anyway, so it would’ve made no difference).

So, my mother is freaking out that they want to do the surgery so “early” (keeping one mind my first son was born at 38+3 and my second lost at 39+5).

I may have to stay with her after the c-section depending on how things go and whether I’m able to get a downstairs apartment before then.

My question is, is it wrong for me not to tell her when the c-section is scheduled for? She’s been nothing but unhelpful through both previous pregnancies and I don’t want her adding to my already very high stress levels. I just want ONE peaceful birth (even if it is via cesarean) without MY WHOLE FAMILY STICKING THEIR NOSE IN IT!!!

Side note: my mom had 5 children and 6 pregnancies I she thinks she knows EVERYTHING 🙄
