Counting kicks ???

How do u count kicks ? Are u suppose to count every kick u feel and add up the total at the end of the day .. or mark down the times u felt kicks ... silly question i know lol

My midwife said counting kicks isn’t really an thing’ anymore (UK). You just need to learn babies pattern of movement so you will notice if anything changes

I wouldn’t say I really do luck counts but my son moves around so much and so if he all of a sudden didn’t it’d be so noticeable to me

I’ve never counted kicks and this is my 5th, I just knew what was normal and what wasn’t for my baby

I have two hours 1 in the morning 1 in the afternoon and I use a kick counter to count for that hour. 
If I feeling him moving less I will do a few more hours just to make sure

Never told to count kicks. However, every evening baby girl moves around like crazy. She occasionally moves during the day. I figured since I feel her move often everything is ok!

I never counted kicks with either one of my kids. But they were all extremely active so I know immediately if something was off if they were being suspiciously calm.
I was never asked to “count” kicks. My doctors only ever ask me if I’m feeling regular movement.

I don't count kicks. But I do make sure I feel movements every day. As I know roughly at what times this little one will be active, it's easy to keep track. If you don't feel movements, that's when you contact someone about it.

I started doing kick counts last week. I chose 7pm bcuz it's after work and when I can focus. But baby is usually sleeping at that time, cuz I feel him all day until then. So I've only started doing it if I don't feel him for a couple of hours.

I’ve never worried about it. I just make sure I feel baby at some point during the day but what they say is you should feel 10 kicks in one hour. Can be any hour out of the entire day. If your baby kicks 10 x at 8am then there is your kicks for the day. There should just be one hour out of your entire day that the babu is awake and moving.
