My son has taken to hitting, it’s usually only to me but he will hit his dad or the pets on occasion. I’ve tried being calm & redirecting, saying ouch, explaining that we don’t hit, catching his arms before he hits and redirecting, ect but nothing has helped. I’ve noticed he does it primarily when I’m not paying him attention or when I’m not doing what he wants me to do.. like today I was reading a book he didn’t want and he hit me with the book he wanted me to read. I know it’s just a phase but man if anyone has any tips because it’s getting sooo old
