I went to a clinic when I was 14 and out myself on the depo shot without telling my mom they only charged me $15 a shot and I had to get a shot every 3 months

Birth control isn't only for baby-protection. Many women take birth control because of other reasons such as heavy bleeding and irregular periods and even skin problems such as acne.
I wouldn't lie to your parents (because after all it's a medication and could affect your health), but you could be smarter about it. Tell your mom that you want to visit a gynecologist because you have really painful and irregular periods. Say you want to get some tests done because your periods are really heavy and it's affecting your life (can't get out of bed, can't focus because of too much pain etc).
If you say it like that, her duty as a parent is to take you to a doctor because of your health. If you can talk to the gyno alone great, if not say how you think birth control could help you with it and if you can try it.
It's not lying, it's a foggy truth. It's better than hiding it from your parents completely, because your health is important to them. I mean, they don't have to know about your sex life, they are your parents.
