Depo or implant?

Opinions on the depo shot or arm implant, debating on which one to get. Never been on bc before and have 2 kids.

With 2 kids, id say go with the Implant. I liked my Depo shot but I LOVED my implant. Not having to worry about when my next shot would be was one of the biggest positives to the implant.

I hate the Depo shot. It messes my body up so badly. I started when I was 17 and was on it until 20. I gained about 80 pounds total and it made me VERY depressed for the first 6 months. Since then I’ve just been on the pill until we started trying. I’m not getting back on BC again, it just messes with my body and hormones too much!

Anything but the depo. I was on it for like 3 months & I bled every dingle day for 7 months straight. It was horrible

I had Depo and had bad experiences including prolonged bleeding and depression. I had implanon and it was much easier. I did have longer heavier periods than normal though. My best experience was with Mirena and I’ve been on every form of birth control.Birth control has different effects on everyone what works for one may not work for another. Depends on your body.

I had the Depo when I was younger and it was awful, I gained 20 lbs and had my period for a whole month. 
Recently, about 7 months ago, I had the kyleena, then about 4 months ago, I had the mirena and both of them gave me awful side effects. Reduced my sex drive, had painful sex, nausea and more. 
I’m now on baby #3 so after I’m not sure what I’m going to do for BC. I’ve never had the implant in the arm but that’s not something I would personally do.
