Disney theme parks... do you like them as adults?

Maria

Ok idk how controversial this is to everyone else but my family (in-laws) and their friends I’m controversial. I’m 29 and have 2 kids (2.5 years and 5 months). We already went to Disney as a family/multi family vacation 2 summers ago when son was 4 months because We weren’t paying for it at the time but it wasn’t my choice. I weren’t once as a kid when I was 9 and brother was 11 and We were old enough to enjoy it and love it and experience it and remember it. Haven’t felt the need to go back but I married into a DISNEY family apparently. This is supposed to be ideally a yearly/every other year thing... And I just DONT get it... there are 4 total kids involved in this family trip the oldest being barely 3 so it’s clearly not “for the kids” (especially when drinking around the world in Epcot is an entire day of the trip). But I keep seeing so many of my Facebook friends who are posting about missing Disney and how the last time they went they cried seeing the castle etc like please tell me what I’m missing. I don’t get it it’s just a big theme park that’s full of kids characters...? I’m seriously not trying to be mean i I want to her it cuz I am sick of feeling like a bitch for not getting so emotional and excited about this place. My Facebook is flooded with Disney lovers my family won’t stop talking about it and I’m just sitting here trying to be quiet so they don’t think I’m rude for not getting it. Please tell me what it is that people feel for this or help me feel something too. I’m trying here but all I see is me being hot through a crowded kids park with high prices and rides that aren’t different than the huge famous amusement path in my own home town.
