Placenta previa experience?

So I had my OB appointment today and my US showed I was 4mm away from being in the threshold where my placenta is almost covering my cervix. My doctor wasn’t worried and said I should carry on normally and they’d rescan me at 30 weeks to see if it moved with the growing belly. She said 99% of the time it moves out of the way. 
Haven’t had any spotting as of yet in this pregnancy. Knock on wood lol 
Anyone else have this experience? Did you change anything about your routine?
I trust it will all be ok based on those odds but lord I’m a little nervous about bed rest and a potential early birth.

When I asked my OB about placentas moving (I currently have an anterior placenta with this pregnancy), they said the placenta will only move up and not down. So based on that, hopefully you are in the clear!

Same exact news as you. Only difference is I’ll have ultrasounds every six weeks to check progress on my placenta until birth.

I had partial previa during my last pregnancy & had bleeding a few times. Because of the bleeding I was on full pelvic rest from 12 weeks to 32 weeks. By 32 weeks it had moved out of the way. I had no issues with my pregnancy because of it, baby was super healthy & I was too.

I was told at 17 it was marginal and to go on pelvic rest, no squatting, no heavy lifting etc. By 21 weeks it had moved up

I got similar news last week. Slightly low placenta. Not actually covering my cervix, but they’ll watch it. It’s my first pregnancy so no experience with how it resolves itself, but I’m with you. I have confidence that it will get pulled up like my doctor said or we will deal with it as needed. Of course a c-section isn’t my preference, but if it’s needed, it’s needed.

I was told this at my anatomy scan too. Hoping it fixes itself, and hopefully we won't have to not have sex for 4 months 🙂

I was also told this at my 20 week scan. This is my 3rd pregnancy and first time having this. Dr said to reframe from intercourse and I go back in 4 weeks to see if it has moved. They said if it doesn’t move, I’ll have a c section but they won’t make a decision until I’m 32 weeks. I had a vaginal delivery with my first and c section with my second.

I had this with my first pregnancy. Was put on pelvic rest. It did resolve on its own
