Sleeping unattended in dock-a-tot?

Question

Do you guys let your newborns sleep in their dock a tot if you're not watching them? It is the only place my 3 week son seems to get any solid sleep. I will put it on the bed and we both can rest.  I am tempted to put it in his bassinet so he can sleep better at night.  But I will obviously be sleeping and not watching him closely...

They are not safe for sleep! ABC, alone, on their back, in a crib/pack n play/bassinet

I’m not gonna lie, my babe slept in the lounger boppy or my dock a tot next to me while I slept. She would sleep so much better that way, and I slept so much better. 
You have to do what works for you. If your babe is rolling, that’s a different story. 
I might get flack for this, and I understand. 🤷‍♀️

Unattended as in I need to pee and will be away for a minute or two? Yes. 
Unattended as in I’m also asleep or in a place where I can’t see her for longer than a few minutes? No. As the previous two posters have said, they’re not safe for sleep and increase the risk of SIDS.

I wouldn’t be comfortable with that. A friend of mine lost her grandson because his mom fell asleep while he was in a swing and he suffocated. Flat on their back on a firm surface is the safest way for them to sleep.

We let him sleep in the dock-a-tot during the day because we're up and we keep it in the same room as us. But we make him sleep in his bassinet at night because we're asleep too and can't watch him at all. He sleeps better in the dock-a-tot but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that he wasn't as safe as possible.

My pediatrician said never leave the baby unattended in anything other then the bassinet

Pleeeaase read their safety guidelines on their site. It can only be used for supervised sleep and lounging and should never be places in a bassinet, crib, pack n play, etc. so no, it shouldn’t be in your baby’s bassinet and you shouldn’t be using it if you’re not able to watch them.

I put mine in my son's bassinet because it's the only way I could get him to sleep and I was go crazy from sleep deprivation. I do make sure his bassinet is next to while hes sleeping just in case anything happens. So far no problems.

We have our son sleep in the dockatot that’s inside a bassinet every night. I know you’re not supposed to but he loves it. We have an owlet on him so it makes me feel a lot better that we can track his heart rate and oxygen levels. He’s been sleeping in it since we brought him home and hes now going on 5 weeks.

Don't have one.  She sleeps during the day on the floor, in bassinet or on the bed.im sure you all are going to beat me up about the bed but she doesn't move yet.
