No contractions at almost 38 weeks?

Question

Went in for my weekly appt & dr couldn’t even get to my cervix to check for dilation. I haven’t had ANY contractions and I’ll be 38w on Saturday..
Has this happened to anyone else? I feel like I should be closer to labor by now! It’s disappointing 😤

Never had any practice contractions with my first two pregnancies.
I did have two membrane sweeps with my second to no avail. Not even cramping 😢
Spontaneous labour first 39+4 born 39+5 and second 40 born 40+1

For my first, I didn’t have a single contraction before my induction at 39 weeks.

Lol! 41+1 over here there’s close to nothing happening. I’ll for sure be getting induced at 42w, so he doesn’t have much longer to stick around in there.

I’m 39w2d and only 2cm dilated and head been head down for weeks and I’ve only had bad Braxton Hicks this it. Had my checkup today n my midwife was shocked I haven’t had him yet or even had contractions yet! Ur not alone!
