Assisted Hatching

My nurse sent me this consent form for our upcoming FET. Can someone please explain what assisted hatching is? I honestly do not get it from reading the consent form. Is assisted hatching something that is normally done since there is an option of not having it done on the embryos? I’m definitely going to call my nurse tomorrow but just wanted to know.
