Is it possible to have no yolk sac but see fetal pole and heartbeat?

Ultrasound today and tech said she couldn’t visualize the yolk sac and to come back in 4 days. They showed me the heartbeat and said it was 125 and said I’m measuring 7w 3D....I’m really confused? Any advice is welcomed!

I'm sorry this is happening, hopefully the next scan she will find it, from my experience no yolk sac will result in a miscarriage :( are you sure you're not earlier than 7 weeks as sometimes it's hard to see at a earlier gestation? I'm wishing you the best and keeping my fingers crossed everything will be ok

The yolk sac basically performs the job of the placenta before it develops, so when your placenta grows big enough it takes over from the yolk sac and then that goes away, so could it be your placenta is ready to take over? 
I’m not too clued in on at what point the placenta usually takes over but maybe that’s a possibility? I have no idea, just a thought! 
But I mean if baby’s heartbeat is there and baby seems healthy, then I wouldn’t necessarily be too concerned about the yolk sac not being visible. 
Hopefully when you go back for your next scan they will see either yolk sac or placenta working away! As long as baby’s heartbeat is there and strong I’d be happy with that. ❤️
