I’m having a girl this time around, but we chose not to circumcise my son last year when he was born. 
If you get backlash from family about your decision, let them know that it is YOUR son, not theirs and that it’s a little weird that they have such a strong opinion about his genitals. 🤷🏻‍♀️ If you have some your research and come to the conclusion that you don’t want to do it, hell even if you didn’t research it and just decided not to, that it 100% your right as a parent and it’s no one else’s business.

We are choosing too because my boyfriend is and i really left it up to him because I don’t have a penis and he’s glad he got it done when he was a baby so that’s my reasoning

I did with my first son and I regret it, he had a lot of issues with it and it's absolutely unnecessary. My second I chose not to and now with my third I will not be doing it either. If you've done the research you know it's a cosmetic thing, not at all medically necessary. Just make sure you advocate for your son because not many doctors are familiar and try to retract, make sure to remind them never retract when intact. 💙

We did not. My husband is circumcised but after doing research and talking with our pediatrician we decided it was unnecessary

This is the fun issue in my family right now. I decided on my own after researching things to not do it. Hubby didn’t care either way so he left it up to me knowing I’d do the research. Well my mom is not happy and it’s been causing issues now. 😞 not what I wanted to deal with when baby can be coming any day now. I already hated having to decide and was stressed about it and now that I finally felt I knew what was best I get criticism for it

No judgement on either side but now we aren't.
Our reasoning was it feels unnecessary. And our hospital considers it a cosmetic surgery so insurance may be funky anyways.
