Is the Vag usually relaxed before climax?

So how do I say this lol I read somewhere that when a woman is really feeling good during sex her vag doesn't get tighter but relaxes/opens more before climax. 
Only saying this because I've never orgasmed with my bf and I thought before I did I would get tighter. So basically I'd tense down there/tighten up to try and orgasm. 🤔 am I wrong?

For me, I tighten (clench) when I know I’m almost there. And then yes, relax as I orgasm. I think it’s natural, like your body just does it.

Usually a woman's vagina does relax before orgasm. That doesn't mean the rest of her body won't be tense from the intensity of it.
