Vacation?!!

Obviously since Covid vacations got canceled and I think most people are trying to figure what to do, if anything.
FTM, wondering what it might be like to take an RV cross country for a week with an almost 1 year old? Any advice or thoughts?

Most actual RV the house and car combo are not set up to accommodate car seats from what I read so much sure to check with that before renting one.

Sounds like lots of fun. Really depends on your baby how well they do in the car- my daughter does great on al day trips, some of her cousins as well, some did horribly in the car. Of course you’d want to keep them in the carseat during travel and make more stops, during stops you’d definitely want them to stretch and crawl. Interactions like talking and playing while driving  always helps my lo enjoy the experience. Have fun!

We just rented a cottage for a few days which is on the beach. But an RV sounds like so much fun! Not sure my 2.5 year old would stay sitting for that though lol

I soo want to,we need to get out and baby needs to experience new surroundings.  We will avoid flights (for a while) but more tha  happy to take a drive for a weekend getaway somewhere. FTM aswell, it's very daunting, but I also think how healthy is it for all of us to be cooped up in the house all the time. We dont go out to malls or anything like and we still not allowed to visit family in my country due to covid.  So when given the chance, a drive somewhere I think will be good.

We just got back this week from spending a week I a cabin! So a lot of places are deff opened back up for vacationers! But as far as what you suggested it would depend on how your little one would handle it!

I guess my question would be what would you do about a car seat? Would he be buckled in the whole time? Might be a lot of driving for a 1 year old. Just a thought! I hear you on wanting to get away though!
