Unisom and Vitamin B 12? Looking for good preggo books too.

Hey! So 4wks, 4 days here. Went in for my first doctors appointment. She confirmed it with a UA and prescribed me unisom and vitamin B12 for nausea. 
I'm wondering why a sleep aid would help with nausea? Im taking 25mg of each and holy hell does it knock me out! Gonna take maybe half a unisom tonight. 
Just wondering if you guys know why this helps? Also, huge bookworm here. I just panic-bought some preggo books. Any suggestions?

It definitely helps and the drowsiness wore off for me in about a week. I take 25mg B6 and a half unisom in the morning and afternoon. At night I take 50mg B6 and a whole unisom.  I don’t feel any effects from the unisom anymore. My OB told me the unisom works as an antihistamine.

It’s B6 not B12 lol 😅 but yes my midwife recommended it as well. I’ve been skipping the Unisom though

I’ve only been taking B6 three times a day and it helps my doctor said the unisom is a variable that could or couldn’t work. If it makes you tired maybe try taking b6 without the unisom and see if that is better. I’m not aware however of the difference between b6 and b12.

The Unisom/b12 helps me so much, I’m 18 weeks and still nauseous but I take it every night before going to sleep. I don’t take the Unisom during the day.
