Has anyone had their period while pregnant ??

New to ttc #1 . Having all the symptoms of pregnancy but got brown bleeding 2 days later than my expected period date. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

You *cannot* have a true period while pregnant. It is physically impossible unless you have two separate uteruses.
You CAN have vaginal bleeding while pregnant. It is NOT a period. It can be *mistaken* for a period, usually a light period, but it is NOT the same.
For the love of god can we please put this myth to bed once and for all. 
Any doctor worth their salt knows you cannot have a *period* while pregnant.
A menstrual period is when your entire uterine lining is shed. This means that if your lining was shed, anything attached to this lining during pregnancy would ALSO be shed - this is a miscarriage. It’s not a period. 
Let’s get down to the science of it.
After you ovulate, the follicle that’s released an egg turns into the corpus luteum. This produces progesterone to maintain your uterine lining that was built up over the last few weeks. Your corpus luteam (CL) has a very specific lifespan of approximately 12-16 days on average - just long enough for implantation of an embryo to take place. If implantation occurs, this will send a message to your CL to increase its lifespan and continue to produce progesterone to maintain the lining until the placenta takes over. During this time, light bleeding or spotting might take place as hormones fluctuate during your luteal phase and early pregnancy. 
IF IMPLANTATION DOES NOT TAKE PLACE THE CL WILL DIE. 
When the CL dies, progesterone is no longer being produced, and your uterine lining is shed. THIS is your period.
So, NO, you cannot have a true period while pregnant.

My in law was going through a full blown period (not implantation bleeding) with one of her  pregnancies, but something told her to take a test and she got a positive. (To later go to the doctor and find out the baby was still in the tubes! Surgery was planned but the egg pushed through at the end and now she has a healthy tod)
