Anyone cave and name their kid something your spouse wants and you didn't and end up liking it in the long term? Husband wants Andrew (Andy) and I want Joseph (Joey). All I can think with Andy is the office. Husband isn't budging.

In the end my husband and I compromised because that’s what marriage is about. He let me pick the name I loved and in return I shoved an entire human out of my vagina.

I would not name my child something I didn’t like. Period. 
My husband and I struggled so much with naming our son. Every name I liked he didn’t like and vice versa. We finally found one we both *sort of* liked. So we kept it secret until he was born and we were still like “so is that what we’re going with?” Lol now we can’t imagine him with a different name. You just have to find a name you both can agree on.

We found out our second was a boy I really liked the name Spencer but husband thought it was just ok. My husband loves the name Connor and I hate it. So we said neither of us got our name and we looked for one we both liked

Jonah Andrea is a good compromise
Its kinda similar to what you both already like but abit different 
Jonah Andrea (just called Andy but thats his legal name)
Andrea Jonah (just called joey all the time but thats his legal name) 
Or just ask your spouse for him to be called Joseph-Andrew/ Joseph Andrew and always called joey
And if you have a daughter if you have ankther child maybe Andriana (Andie) could be a 1st or middle name?

Dude at the hospital we didn’t have a middle name. The nurse barges in trying to push us, and my husband just said “We’ll just use my wife’s middle name!” Lmao I don’t like my middle name but it’s not terribly important.

We compromised... I chose first name for my son and the one he wanted ended up the middle name 🤷🏻‍♀️ And i love the name together. Then for my daughter we switched just to be fair. He chose the first and chose middle 😬
