Women’s intuition?

Can someone explain what exactly is women’s intuition and why everyone says to always trust it? I’m curious...

Its essentially your gut feeling about something with a little bit of fight or flight instincts. If every part of you says something is up and you gotta get out of a situation, that's women's intuition. It might feel silly sometimes, but it might keep you safe.

Intuition itself comes on as a “gut feeling” about something, some sense of “knowing” that doesn’t seem to come from conscious reasoning. Most believe that intuitive knowledge comes from our subconscious, that communicates with our conscious in ways that seem cryptic and not at all straightforward (like dreams). 
“Women’s intuition” is a gender myth related to the belief that women are mostly emotional and men are mostly analytical. Boys are told not to cry, girls are told it’s expected to cry because we’re ruled by emotions. But that isn’t true, the only stretch of truth is that males are told to ignore their intuition more and subsequently may not be as in tune as women - but this isn’t a difference in basic ability, it’s a difference in learning. And I find most men still get messages from their intuition even if they ignore those thoughts and feelings that come up from subconscious awareness. 
Intuition isn’t always right, often it is giving us good information but our analytical mind makes the “wrong” decision with the information our intuition give us. However intuition is often spot on; and it’s common that people will say there are times in their life when they had an intuitive sense about something, ignored it and later realize going with their intuition would have led to a better result. So we’re told to trust it. And I think we should, but also learning to use your intuition is a skill, an ability that we have to fine tune for accuracy. Emotion/intuition and analytic reasoning have strengths and weaknesses that are balanced when they work together.

Its your gut feeling.  When your mind is telling you that something else is going on vs what somebody is saying is going on. Sometimes it's wrong, sometimes it's right. You usually dont know its right until something obvious happens.

It’s not really a women specific thing. It’s also called a “gut feeling”.  It’s that feeling you get in your stomach when your body is trying to tell you not to do something. 
You should always listen to it.

It's the same as gut instinct I guess. And seeing as traditionally women are seen more in tune with their emotions that's were it's come from.
Sometimes you just know something without having to be told. I would get involuntary shivers when I meet someone, usually men, who are not good people. I see it as my warning system
