When did you have your first doctor’s appt?

We’re a few hours drive away from home visiting family for a few weeks, and I’m in my TWW. If I get a positive next week, we’d be out of town until week 7. Is that too late to wait to see a doctor? I found out late for my first, so didn’t see Dr until 7.5 weeks but wondering if that’s normal. 
Everyone with a low risk pregnancy, when was your first doctor’s appt? Thanks!

I had my first ultrasound at 10w2d. I know each place is different, but most places won’t see you until around 7 weeks anyway so I wouldn’t worry. Plus, I feel like having your first ultrasound sooner at like 5 weeks will cause unnecessary stress. Even though it’s normal and common not to see the heartbeat or just see a sac, it’s still easy to worry. I’d say don’t worry, it seems like you’d be right on track.💕

Been told first appt is between 8-12 weeks. I went in just before 8 weeks just due to appointment availability. But I have heard some offices, due to covid, will remote appt the 8 week then do an in person at 12 weeks. You should be all good.

I went in at about 7 wks:) the first appointment all they did was have me pee on a stick and go over basic pre-natal care like vitamins and such. My first actual appointment wasn't until 13 wks.

My first doctors appointment after going to a women’s center and confirming that I was pregnant it was at 8 weeks for the first ultrasound. And then I had my first on appointment about 2 weeks later

This is my third pregnancy (one miscarriage), and I didn’t go to the doctor this time for a confirmation test- i don’t think they’re worth what you end up paying, haha. I went for my first appointment at 9 weeks this time, since I had a missed miscarriage discovered at 10 weeks a few months ago. From my experience, a lot of women schedule their first appointment between 8 and 11 weeks

Where I live you don’t see your OB until 12w. You can go to your regular dr to get confirmation/dating done between 7-10w.
