Had my first retrieval on Wednesday and couldn’t believe it! They didn’t measure all the follicles during the ultra sound since there were so many but the nurse was guessing there would be around 25 eggs.

Of the 43, 29 were mature and all 29 fertilized.

We just got our three day update. 18 of the embryos are normal, 8 have one too many cells and 3 are one cell short.

They are going to move all 29 embryos along. Next update will be Monday morning!

Even though we are still nervous, this news has made us feel so hopeful again. We always wanted a big family, and our insurance wouldn’t help with a second retrieval. Fingers crossed that this will be our one and only retrieval!! 🧡
