How to clean baby bottles?

Ive never used baby bottles before, I’m not sure what’s the correct way to clean them.   
Do you use a dishwasher or hand wash? 
And how often do you sterilize them? 
If you use the dishwasher do you get special baby bottle soap or do you just use finish/cascade etc?

You can clean them either way, we did ours with the dishwater & by hand. When using dishwasher we didn’t wash anything else with them and just used normal dishwasher tablets. And by hand we just washed them with the bottle brush making sure all milk was off. And they need to be sterilised each time after they are washed, until about a year old I stopped sterilising my babies bottles.

We exclusively formula fed both of our babies from birth and have never sterilized a bottle. With our youngest we use glass so it's even more unnecessary. We wash them by hand most times. Just hot water and dish soap. Nothing fancy. You don't need anything special if you use the dishwasher either. Don't overcomplicate something so basic.

I boil them when I first buy them then sometimes I hand wash and sometimes I through them in the dishwasher lol. Every now and then I’ll boil them again but only for the first couple
Months the babies home then I stop boiling them.

I hand washed all the bottles to make sure they had no formula at all left on them and then sterilised after every use

It depends on what type of bottles you use and your preference for cleaning. We hardly use any plastic but if we did I would hand wash them. Our bottles are glass so I put them in the dishwasher.
