What is a leap and how do you know?

Okay so I have never heard of a leap until I saw it on a post. What’s a leap? How do you guys know when your baby is going through one or if they will? Please help! I was told my baby is possibly going through one

There's an App The Wonder Weeks based on the book, but the book is way better. I followed the book with both of my babies and it helped me through their fussiest times. The app is useless.

Pay no attention to those “leaps.” I looked into the Wonder Weeks when I was desperate to find a reason why my daughter was seemingly always unhappy and crying (turns out she was just a fussy, clingy baby). I never saw any difference in her behavior when she was supposed to be going through a “leap.” All of the author’s work was disproven by his own student.
