What did you use gripe water for?

What all is gripe water used for? Does it help with acid reflux? Upset stomach? Does any mamas still use it for their LO? How often
Has anyone tried Night Time Gripe water? Did it help baby fall asleep?

I use gripe water all the time, it's been really hot so I mix it with water and give it to my 20 week old he loves it, gripe water has been around for years my grandparents used to give it to my parents and them us. My sil used to mix it with her babies milk as he had reflux it helped him.

I never ever use it.  It severely choked both of my children   and it just wasn't worth it

My son was never diagnosed with reflux but he spit up A LOT, so we have gas drops in the afternoon and the night time gripe water after last bottle. I never gave the full dosage because we did have choking issues. I only would give like 1.5-2ml. Seemed to do the trick. He almost never spit up after the last bottle and he often slept through the night. I started cutting it out all together last month and we haven't used it since.

We use it for gas or hiccups or just overall fussiness. It works great! I think the nighttime gripe water def helps her settle down if she’s having a particularly fussy night. We only use it occasionally when we feel it’s needed, but it works for her.

We used the night time gripe water for a long time when our daughter was a newborn because she had terrible gas and would spit up tons. It helped perfectly for her! I agree with previous mentions of the choking, to fix that issue we would put the gripe water in to a small bottle, like the little Medela breast milk holders we got from the hospital. We had a Medela pump so our nipples for those bottles fit perfectly on them! She would drink the gripe water from that instead of the applicator that comes with gripe water.

My baby gets hiccups all the time. Gripe water works right away to get rid of them!

We loved it when he was younger, if he had the hiccups or gas , we used the nighttime one a couple times . I don’t think it did much to help him sleep

We tried it a few times when he was a newborn and he would choke so bad that we are traumatized from it and it didn’t help him at all.

I used it a few times with my son (who is almost 3) and it didn’t help anything at all. My pediatrician doesn’t recommend it. I’ve heard people swear by it but I personally didn’t see any effects.

It seemed to help with my son's reflux and fussiness. I use it occasionally now but significantly less than before since he's gotten better as he got older.
