Which age gap is best of the 2 options? Comment experiences please

I am having a hard time deciding. What are your experiences based on children you have or yourself and your own siblings? I am worried if I wait too long my kids won’t be as close friends.

6 years.by the time they're six child should be able to use the potty and go to school.also allows the youngest child or the baby to sleep so that they don't have a sibling waking them up every 20 minutes when they're playing.

My sister and I are 5 year apart.
If you have them within a couple if years of each other, you’ll have two in diapers most likely, as well as a need for double strollers. Further in life, you’ll have two in college at the same time (assuming they go). While there can be benefits to having them closer together, there’s also cons.

My girls are 23 months apart. Things worked out for the best because my husband was able to be with me for her birth before deploying for 16 months. However....changing diapers while pregnant with severe morning sickness was miserable. ￼

My daughter will be 4 when my baby gets here. I always wanted them to be 4 years apart. She’s super excited with me, she understands what’s going on, and we had plenty of time with it being just me & her I just feel like we’re both ready. They won’t be too far apart as to where they can’t play together but also not too close to where they’re both babies.

The best friends part is more about personality. My kids are 2.5 years apart and I’m not a fan. I wish we had a bigger gap like 4-5 years. My first was super apathetic about having a sibling, he could not have possibly cared less. He’s 3.5 now and of course now he’s super into babies and people being pregnant. I get so jealous seeing my friends with bigger age gaps and how much the older one adores the baby. My mom had 5 kids, all kinds of age gaps. The sister closest to my age (2.5 years) I’ve never really been friends with. The sister furthest from my age (13 years) is definitely the one I get along with best.

It was hard for me to have 2 under the age of 2. They were 23 months apart. My youngest was 3.5 years younger than my middle. It was great. She understood and helped out too.

There's no way to answer this. Each experience will be different and what might be great for some may be a nightmare for others. It all depends on the dynamic and personalities. You just have to take a leap and deal with whatever comes your way.
