Tampons?

I put a tampon in yesterday for the first time and I got it in easy but when it was in it was burning the whole time, i couldn't walk without it hurting. It didn't hurt to take it out either, just when I was in. Sitting was like the worst pain ever for me. Anyone have any tips? Or know why this would be happening?

I hate tampons, but I hate pads worse so 🤷🏼‍♀️...now I use the diva cup and I’ll never go back...no chemicals to irritate your body and once you get it down it lasts all day and is so comfortable you can’t feel it. I wish I used it when I was in high school, especially because I played sports.

Already stated but, not far in enough. I've wasted a few having to reinsert another. That's why I prefer the cup! I honestly recommend, it even made my cramping lighter and it's such a quickly paid for investment imo. You'd never run out and cleaning it isn't that much of a hassle (any way is 🙃)

Not sure if it’s the same, but I’m actually allergic to the material in most tampons and can’t use them! It burns, like if you got cleaning chemical on your skin or something.

I bought some lighter flow tampons in case that was the problem, I'll also try pushing it higher :) thank you guys for all the tips:)

It's either not in far enough or you put In a tampon that was a higher absorbent than you needed.

It happened to me the first time I used tampons.  I put it to close to the vaginal opening. You have to push it a little bit further inside and you'll not feel it at all when you sit or walk or whatever you do.

Aounds like its just in wrong. Try squatting and holding it straight and just twisting to get it in real easy then push the plastic thing that pushes it in. Also, maybe try a diva cup. I swear by them. They are the best

Idk my first period was my last period and I put in the tampon on the second day maybe you tore some tissue? Or you put it in wrong also you could've had a very light flow so their was mostly cotton and no blood

A tampon is not in correctly if u can still feel it once u put it in.....once its in completely correct it still feel like u have nothing there....i wont feel anything at all....yeah if it was hurting then it definitely was not all the way in right
