Prunes
Hey lovely July Ladies!
I've been going through lists and recommendations for hospital bags, just checking and making sure I've packed everything necessary and nothing more. I've packed a suitcase full with my first and used very little from it, so I don't want to overpack again... but I also can't help being anxious and checking again and again.
One item that popped up in a list I found was "prunes" and it got me thinking. I guess it works well, after all it is recommended for people in many different situations battling constipation. I also waited forever for my first bowl movement after my first (I threw up multiple times and had long diarrhea during labor, I felt like nothing remained in me) and the nurses started getting on my nerves, as if I were holding back on purpose. I was afraid of constipation, but not holding anything in 😂
