How long does it take to get MRI Results?

I'm not sure where to post this. I had a pelvic MRI this morning so I'm just wondering if anyone knows how lo g it typically takes to get results back. I know every place is different. I'm just trying to get a general idea. The waiting is giving me more anxiety then I already had regarding this possible issue.

I’ve had several. Usually you’ll get results at your follow up doctors appointment (whenever that is).  They usually have the scans read within 24-48 hours though so you might be able to get the results from the imaging centers portal, or you can call the imaging center and ask for a copy of the report (although careful interpreting it - that’s what the follow up dr appt is for).

I work at a hospital and it totally depends a bunch of different things 
Staffing: how many people do they have available to read and sign off on the results. If they have 1 radiologist it might take a while to get through them all vs if they have 2 or 3 sharing the load. 
Patient load: if they have an influx of patients it could take much longer vs a slow day. 
Emergency’s: they may have a normal day of patients, but emergencies will almost always trump regularly scheduled appts thus pushing back when results are ready. 
I’ve had days where we get results in a matter of hours and I’ve had days where I’m having to pester the radiologist a week later to hurry up and read the scan.

I've always had my doctor set up an appointment for after to go over the results so I'm really not sure. 
But I know normally if there is something "wrong" they call you pretty urgently. 
I got xrays that came back really bad one time and they called me the same day. But I know MRIs can take a little longer.
