Hubby and I are going on our anniversary vacation today. The 27th will mark 5 years of marriage. This will be the longest I have been away from our son since his birth. He is breastfed and does well with the bottle when I'm at work. However, I'm always at home for dinner and his bedtime routine. I know he is in good hands and will be well taken care of. With his older sister I didn't leave her for an extended period of time until she was 2 1/2 years old. I'm just a little nervous. I don't want him to start preferring the bottle over the breast. In my opinion, breastfeeding is easier than pumping. I want to continue breastfeeding until he is at least a year old. I breastfed his sister for over 2 years. Has anyone left their little one for an extended period of time? If so, what was your experience when you returned?
