Painful Father’s Day.... help!
So my husband lost his dad, who was his idol and best friend, when he was 23. He’s now 28. He doesn’t talk about his dad a ton but he does mention him occasionally. His death was a major trauma in my husbands life. He has a lot of issues from it. Understandably so. We have no children together (have had one miscarriage) but I always try to make sure we have a good fathers day together. Today we are going out on our boat but my question is- should I suggest us going to visit his fathers grave later? Would that be too painful ? If you have had a parent that has passed would you like to visit their grave on fathers/mothers day? We have only been to his dads grave once since he passed and it was on his birthday this year with my sisters in law and mother in law. I love my husband so much and want to be sensitive to him but also want to acknowledge his dad on Father’s Day. What would you do?😩
