When should I test?!

I am currently approx 6 days late. I didn’t really get a proper period last month due to coming off the pill. Had a couple days of spotting but that was it. I thought my period would come normally this month but it hasn’t. I have a test and was just wondering if I still need to test in the morning or because I am already about a week late, can I just test whenever in the day? Let me know what you think/your experiences! Thanks heaps!! x
