How do u contractions feel like?

Im a 1st time mom and scared for shit to give birth lol. I just want to know if the contractions are that bad like u can die from it or pass out? Is it manageable?

Mine were manageable. Not like I was having a fun time or anything, but I was able to breathe with them. When you’re in labor it’s way different than thinking about it beforehand. Like before labor it was easy to psych myself out about it, but during labor I had no choice but to deal with it.

It felt like I had to take the worst shit of my life, like abdominal cramps every 2 minutes or so for 30 seconds. My epidural didn’t really take on the left side so it was still pretty painful even with the epidural but def less than if I hadn’t had it... but I went from 4 cm to 10 in 1 hour so it wasn’t that long that I was in a lot of pain.

Easily the worst pain of my life but I don’t want that to scare you at all. The really intense part was only for a short period of time, after I was dilated 8.5 cm. From that point to the end of my labor was only about a half hour and I was able to get through it. I would just discuss your concerns with your doctor and find a pain management plan that you’re comfortable with.

You can’t die from it but it is definitely flipping painful but you know what we keep having more so it’s definitely manageable. I’m not going to lie labour kills so bad and if you need an episiotomy then it hurts even more but just take deep breathes and you’ll get through it. As much as it hurts i honestly pictured it to be so much more painful then it was

They hurt like hell in my opinion but I was induced and I’ve heard those contractions are worse.

You cant die from contractions.. many women do natural births so its definitely doable. I started having “real” contractions but not regularly yet. Feels like intense period cramps with stomach tightening and back ache. Mine are only 30 seconds-ish long but feel like forever because they hurt so bad. I have been able to breathe through them so far but i almost cried the first time i experienced one lol

They were manageable at first but got intense also had some back pain but after baby is out everything goes away and you forget that you were even in pain 😂I was smiling and laughing soon as I held my baby I forgot that I was in serious pain
