Laughing gas as pain management stories?

Hey if you did a “Natural” birth using laughing gas or other forms of pain relief other than epidural or spinal. Tell me about it! Trying to learn all I can before baby comes and with this whole virus going on I’m serious thinking of natural birth so drop em below!

I’ve used the gas multiple times as I’ve had 7 babies. I always joke with the doctor that it’s just used to dull my screams lol it helps take the edge off and gives you something to focus on but I still got the epidural or at least tried every single time, I’ve delivered twice without the epidural and I thought I was dying. I have a very low pain tolerance though so I know I can’t handle it, how I’ve had 7 soon to be 8 babies I’ll never know!

Didn’t work for me. I wasn’t able to breathe properly for it. Just felt a little claustrophobic if anything.

I wanted to use gas for pain relief this time because my epidural didn’t work last time & being bed bound even tho it didn’t work sucked! So I wanted more natural this time. But my hospital is not allowing the gas while the virus is still going around 😩... idk when your due date is, but you should double check it is available at your hospital.

I did a natural birth (accidentally admittedly, my son came before I could get the epidural). I will say (especially if this is your first) I would look up breathing techniques and different pain management techniques that you can do. I did great through the contractions (I found them bearable). The part that was a little harder was pushing, I think part of that is because I was not mentally prepared to push uneducated. I think if I could of visualized and prepared for that part before hand I could have handle it also.
