How has becoming a parent changed you?

Question

I know this is such a broad question, but I'll be a first time mom and sometimes I think I can be too self-centered and pretty irresponsible. (I'm already 25 years old too lol) does anyone think that becoming a parent really does change you for the better?

I am now a zombie.
I get no sleep.
I can only think of one thing. 
I am always hungry.
But I wouldn't trade it for anything.

It changed me. I grew up and I'm always thinking about my child before my needs. I sometimes miss being able to just go out but I wouldn't want my life I had before my child back. I love my life now. I'm married have a beautiful boy and another one on the way. So I would say it changed me but some woman it doesn't change them for the better they still act like they have no children.

I did change. Now everything i do I think about my children and how it affects them.
But, that doesn't happen to everyone.

Instead of focusing on only yourself you'll focus on that person and their well being. It changes you, I'm guessing  as long as you have a heart. I feel that everyone is self centered or not ready for children until it happens and then you wonder where you were hiding all of this love for another person. I have one son 3 now and I was not ready but once i felt him move I feel in love and was attached to what was not in the world yet. My twin on the other hand I don't feel will ever be ready. If you think your bad you need to meet her.  Lol

Some people it does some it doesn't before I got pregnant with my first I was out partying every weekend since I found out I was pregnant with my first I havent went to a bar/party or anything of the sort I don't drink I stay home 24/7 with my now 2 girls & currently 10 weeks pregnant but even before I got pregnant again I didn't go hang out with friends or nothing g I'd rather sit at home withy kids or take them to the park or to eat somewhere fun for them!  But I have a family member that is on her 2nd  any & her bfs parents have raised her first one Completely & he's Almost 4! So it's a coin toss!!  Good luck I'm sure you'll be a great mother!!

I think it definitely changes you. I know I definitely changed. I got pregnant when I was 19. But before that, I was a partier and into drugs. I didn't care about anyone besides myself. I put my parents through hell. Then I found out I was pregnant and I completely changed. Now I have the most amazing 4 year old little boy, I couldn't imagine my life without him.

I can't sleep in anymore and my sex life has become.....non existent
