Do you think grandparents need the parents petmission to post any pictures of your baby online?

I love my mother in law to death but I don’t like her posting pictures of my daughter (7 months old) on Facebook.  I know she is just proud of her and wants to show her off but I don’t like it. I don’t know hardly any of her friends and some of them have been rude and awful to my husband and I.  I hardly post any pictures, I just feel like I don’t want my daughters pictures online unless I know about it.  Am I wrong?? Anyone else feel this way??

Well it depends.  In a situation like that just explain to her that u are uncomfortable with so many people seeing pictures of your child.     
Now forcing a grandparent to ALWAYS ask permission is a little controlling.

I don’t care but every situation is going to be different with different families and their relationships. I wouldn’t like a swimsuit picture or anything of my child but fully clothed and happy is fair game!

It just depends if the parent is comfortable with it. I have no social media besides glow. My in-laws always ask before posting anything

I voted no because we gave my mother (the only grandparent online) permission when he was born provided it wasn’t before we posted his birth. She complied and we haven’t had an issue.

I think it definitely depends on if you're big on posting pictures yourself or not. Personally I have stopped posting pictures of my kids anywhere but my insta story, which disappears after 24 hours. I don't want people to be able to go back and find pictures of my kids way after the fact. 
Also my in laws are barely involved in my kids' lives and treat them basically like they don't exist on the rare occasions they actually see them (they haven't even met my 7 month old yet, and there aren't any plans for it - they live in another country but most certainly have the financial means to visit if they cared enough to do so), so it pisses me off royally when my MIL posts pictures of my daughter (I'm not sure if she's even posted anything about my son - my younger baby - since he was born). Mostly I hate that she gives off the impression like she gives half a shit about my kids but it's all just for show. 
But I mean if someone posts a bunch of pics of their kid, I don't see the harm in grandparents posting, but I think it would be courteous if they ask first. My MIL has NEVER asked. But she's a dumpster fire if you didn't already figure that out. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Everyone is different. If you don't like you're baby's pictures posted, then that's your choice. You're the momma. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for how you feel about things... Whether it's because of her friends you don't like, or you're just don't like your LO posted on social media for everyone to see, it's still you're choice... I have to remind my MIL of that fact every now and then too. I personally don't care if they post pictures of my baby as long as he's clothed. But I am really self conscious about my post baby body so I get upset when she posts pictures of me without asking. It seems like she has to choose the most unflattering one she has! 😂... I don’t care but if you do then definitely ask her not to! This is very family based so you’ll get a whole range of answers. But it’s pretty simple if you’re not comfortable with it then that’s that!

I don’t post many photos of my baby and it pisses me off when my MIL posts them. We’ve talked to her about it and she still posts!! I don’t know what to do, I’m about to only share printed photos with her 🤣

I would allow my mother but not my mother in law. Thankfully she doesn’t have social media. But she’s not involved and would only do it to brag and she has no right to brag because she doesn’t see her grand kids ever. 
Your kid your rules! Tell her you don’t approve.
