Backstory: I hadn’t had sex in a few months. My boyfriend and I recently fixed things and are back together. Two weeks ago we had sex, and then the following couple of days. One of the times he came inside me. I am on the pill. Always good about taking it on time, although one day this cycle was maybe four hours or more later than usual.

There was a tiny bit of blood at first, and I thought it was from a tear from not enough lubrication. Then it didn’t continue. A couple of days ago, I had pain while urinating, blood each time I went, and frequent urination. I started drinking a lot of water, thinking it might be an early UTI. But I’ve never had one before, so I don’t know.

Fast forward to today, frequent urination. Not really much if any discomfort when I go now. Just feel the need to pee constantly.

Is this the tail end of a possible UTI? Or did my one misstep with taking the pill later affect me in a bad way? Is it too early to take a test? Thanks.
