Is this normal

I live with my family. My father has always been more violent but he’s gotten better throughout the years. Although, he has slapped and hit me because he didn’t like how I acted (I was giving him “silent treatment” and he didn’t like it) mind you, I was 25 when that happened. My brother threatens to hit me when he’s upset with me/we argue. It scares me so much that I start shaking and trembling. I pretend like I’m not scared but I’m terrified.

I’m not sure if maybe some people might say I deserve it for talking back or act a certain way especially since I live in my fathers house. That maybe some will say this is normal? Idk.
