I still feel like I don’t know what my child wants and needs . She is not talking and I don’t know if she’s fussing because she’s hungry ? Or in pain from teething. 😫

I definitely feel this sometimes. Especially this last week. She’s had lots of tantrums and I’m just going down the checklist. Basically she’s happiest when I’m holding her and she’s trying to tear the skin off my face 🥴

You're not the only one! It's definitely gotten a bit easier since my son started pointing but there are times when I still don't know what he wants. I used to feel like such a bad mom when other moms would talk about knowing their newborn's cries...

Have you tried teaching your baby sign language? My baby learned how to sign for “milk” and not surprisingly, she wants it all. the. time. 😂 but it’s great because she doesn’t cry for it anymore, she just squeezes her fist. And if she’s crying, it’s pretty clear it’s because she’s tired or teething.

Same. My son can’t even point. It’s like he expects me to read his mind lol. If he’s pulling on his ear or putting his fingers in his mouth and bawling, then he’s teething. If he’s crawling to me whining in the kitchen, I think that means he’s hungry? I usually give him milk during the day when he’s getting fussy. It distracts him for a while.
