How likely is it to go to your first prenatal appointment and there be no heartbeat?? I have another week left and it’s killing me.

Depends babe. If it’s done by Doppler then they might not pick it up. And if it’s an US done abdominally it could also miss it. Vaginally is the best way but at that time you should be able to see the flicker.

If you will be 8 weeks at your scan you should definitely hear a heartbeat. If you don’t, your Dr will initiate the next steps immediately. 
I know it’s hard but try not to worry. Chances are everything is just fine 🤍

The risk of a missed miscarriage is pretty small, about 1-2%. I unfortunately had one but it was only the 3rd one the ultrasound tech had ever had so its not very common.
