Do contractions feel like diarrhea pain?

I’m having pains in lower back and stomach in waves that feel like diarrhea pains but when I go to try and use the bathroom I cant. I’m 38 w 5 days.

Mine did. I was 38w5d and I just felt like I needed to poop and I couldn’t. Then I realized the cramps were like every 8 minutes apart. Took a hot shower and by the time I was done they were 5mins apart and I was on my way to the hospital. Baby was born about 12 hours later.

That’s how my labor started and I ended up pooping my brains out lol. Had the baby 7 hours later.

Mine did. I had diarrhea and didn’t realize it was labor. I’d be in the bathroom (actively going) maybe every 20 mins but the pain was more so every few minutes. I didn’t connect two and two. I was bent over the couch breathing  and told my husband, “this pain is unbearable, I need to go to the ER because this is more than diarrhea, I think somethings wrong.”
Naa, I was just in labor and dilated to about a 7.

Maybe? My contractions felt like what I experience for period cramps. In my legs and back...

Yes, definitely. 
After using the bathroom though and finishing for the rest of the day, the cramps should go away. 
And also, contractions are consistent and increase in pain if you’re in labor. 
FYI, you can have contractions and they can come and go.
