Postpartum Edema?.

Question

Anyone dealing with postpartum Edema? My blood pressure is fine ,it's just my feet is swollen. It started like 3days postpartum and it's mostly in one feet. I didn't have any swelling when i was pregnant. Will be going to the hospital on Monday if it doesn't change. Just wanna know if anyone else is experiencing it. Im 8days PP.

Almost 3 weeks later and still dealing with it. My legs and knees are so swollen I can barely walk Or bend my knees. Limping at best. Called hematologist and they need the fluid out of my legs before my appt with them on the 17th so they can better judge the amount of dosage for lovenox still. They told me to call my ob and tell them and that most likely they will prescribe some diuretics to get the fluid out of my body. I called but heard nothing back yet so have to wait until Monday. It’s terrible and hurts to walk.

It took me a good part of the first week postpartum for all of my swelling to go down after delivery. I was a little swollen right before labor, but nothing abnormal or painful, but once I delivered (at 9pm), the next morning my entire legs, ankles and feet were SO swollen and only got worse over the next 5 days or so and then went down almost completely overnight. My OB told me in the hospital it was most likely contributed to IV fluids and the stress my body was in because I was induced. He recommended drinking lots of fluids in a short period of time.

Omg yes! I’m 2w pp now but the first week pp my feet were HUGE. My blood pressure was fine as well, I never called because they said it was normal, all the fluid from the IV just makes them swell I guess. I did however drink TONS of water to try and pee out all of the excess fluids I think that helped.

It took 10+ days for my edema to go down 😩

A few days PP my ankles swelled up pretty big, one a little bigger than the other. I attributed it to all the IV fluids before, during, and after delivery
