Gallon of water a day during bulk or cut?

I'm new to this bulk and cut idea (as in, I kind of went through seasons where I realized I needed to be eating more and trying to build muscle, or trying to lose fat, but am just figuring out that there is a technical way to do this lol). Anyway, I am also making an effort to drink more water. So far, I've just been drinking an extra glass or two a day, but I was thinking about trying a gallon a day. Obviously water is important all the time, but I am wondering if it would make a bigger difference during bulk or cut?
