He never texts first. What should I do?

I've went on one date with this guy so far and ever since we matched on tinder, I've noticed that he never messages first. I'm always the one initiating the conversion. I'm getting irked by that. Should I bring it up? I've decided that I won't send a first message for now and will wait to see if he does. Am I thinking too much about this? Is it too early to be picking out issues? I don't have any previous dating experience as this is my first time getting into the dating world.
