Masks?

When you go out with your littles do you put a mask on them? My state just made it mandatory to wear a mask in public. We don’t go out a lot and if I have to go somewhere I can usually get someone to watch my kids but a lot of the time I have to take them grocery shopping and stuff.

I make my daughter wear a mask but we avoid going out with her.
It's been only a handful of times that we had no other options and she found it fun initially, but it's not very comfy and she grew tired of wearing it. After that point it's a constant struggle to keep it on 😣 So with that in mind we try not to go anywhere with her if possible.
It's weird because we always enjoyed being shut in but we've been isolating very seriously since the beginning of March (we have our '17 toddler, I just gave birth, and my grandma lives in the next apartment who is not really on top of things, we've been running her errands now... we weren't going to take any chances.) It is just so long!
Enjoying being at home a lot still used to come with the occasional playground, regular grocery shopping that was a chore but from time to time I enjoyed it, and little trips either for fun or trying to turn an errand into fun. None of that has been a part of our lives for four months now.
Making our big girl wear a mask when we can't avoid taking her out just makes errands loathsome. We can make it fun for her for 30-60 minutes, but it's gamble every time how long she'd cooperate.

We never ever take them out to anywhere public yet. We are fortunate we don't have to.
But I have tried to get my august kid to wear one and he has zero interest and won't leave it on. 🙁 
But, it really hasn't been an issue just yet thankfully!

We do our grocery shopping online and do curbside pickup for groceries. I could probably count on one hand the amount of stores I've gone into since March 20, and it's always a quick trip by myself. 
So, I'd say, really do as much as you can to avoid bringing your kids out with you to indoor public places.
That said, my daughter does have kid size masks and she will wear them for at least 10-20 minutes, so if we HAD to go in somewhere we would have her wear them. But right now we are only doing stuff outdoors with the kids and only in situations where we can be socially distant from other people, so we don't wear the masks outside.

I have not brought my children anywhere they would need a mask since this all started. If I HAD to I would attempt to have him wear one, but I don't think he would keep it on his face for too long. He struggles to keep sunglasses on for more then 10min so I can imagine it would be a struggle to keep one on.   Also, I believe it would probably make him touch his face more then he would without one on so that could be more of a danger then not. Im not sure, just gonna schedule my errands around my husband and mother in law for now.

Yes, but I don’t take them anywhere. Only time my four year old and August baby went anywhere with me was pediatrician annual checkup appointment and last week to the hair salon for much needed haircuts.
