Aside from your children, what noise machine did you love the most?

I honestly don’t know if it’s just me but I have 3 or 4 Bluetooth speakers at my home and I feel like looking up white noise and playing it through that would be better a better than buying a whole machine, and not to mention you have freedom to play whatever noise you choose rather than the machines that have limited options. Also my vtech baby monitor also plays noises and sounds, I just feel like buying something like these are a waste.

There have been studies showing that white noise may be negatively affecting brain development, or at the least, not contributing to any development. My friend who works at a university hospital often participates in conducting newborn/infant studies and alerts me with any and all new findings. Haha, it has its pros and cons (as though I need to add anything else on my plate to worry about...). However, I can see the reasoning, so we switched from a white noise machine to a nature sounds machine...aka an Amazon Echo Dot. We love its versatility and that we can control it from our phones.

My daughter got this at 7 months old. It has a few different options for you to choose from and you can turn the light off for nap time use. But the Max time that it plays for is 45 minutes. I would hear her yell HIPPO until it came back on 😆. It was hard to break her from it though.
