Tips for my 1st IVF cycle?

I’m starting IVF in September and I’m freaking out! Lol 
Any tips, recommendations, wish you knew, do’s and don’ts that you can give me??
I think my biggest fear is the medication. I don’t do well with needles but I keep telling myself do it for the baby!!!

Medication is a head game! Once you get through the first injection it will just become routine. If you have a SO to help with the first one (or all) that can be good. My husband did mine, and I remember holding my breath and telling him to just do it already, and he started laughing because the needle was already in. 
My general advice is always: ask all of the questions you have (including asking to see the screen during ultrasounds), let yourself feel any emotions that come up, and try to have another support person besides your SO that you can talk to for the times you just don’t want to talk to them about how you feel/what you are going through.

I also have a fear of needles. Once you get a couple days into it, it gets easier to do the shots and you get into a little routine. I make my husband give me the shots, but some people are more comfortable giving it to themselves. Don't worry. You will rock it!

My biggest piece of advice is expect setbacks! Seems like they always happen!! But its totally worth it!!! Just take it one day at a time!!! Good luck!

Brittney I think we may be starting IVF in September too and I’m in the same boat. I get queasy around needles and can hardly even have my blood drawn without getting dizzy lol. Just know that you aren’t alone - this is a great community for honest advice and support. Good luck ❤️

Have you read the book It Starts With the Egg? There are plenty of supplements you can take and start now, studies show that helps with egg quality.  Also a healthy diet, like the Mediterranean diet. It takes about 3 months for those eggs to develop so get started if you can!!
