Hello!

I had my first maternity appointment on Monday, all went well. The appointment was first thing. I booked my scan and am very excited! (Around 10 weeks at the moment)

I informed my workplace that I had this appointment and went straight to work after, but when I turned up my manager said that the appointment would be unpaid, they did say I could work extra to make up the hours.

I’ve been left very confused, according to citizen advice appointments should be paid.

Can anyone shed some light on the situation?
