Bf calls me annoying

I’m 18 been w my bf almost 3 years. He tells me I’m annoying often. For example today he said he was gonna do a couple things and I asked if he was coming over after. He then mimicked me “are u coming over, r u coming over etc” cause apparently I say it too much!? Then he was talking abt him drum set that he doesn’t want and says he wants to take it apart I said “y do that now just wait till someone buys it” and he then when on to say “I always have to explain stuff to u” “your annoying” and I was like what??? And he was like “idk what u want me to say u r annoying.” So I hung up and don’t know what to do.

Edit: lately my bf has been feeling depressed/sad which normally results in him being easily irritated. After this happened today I didn’t wanna talk w him so he called me 7 times and I didn’t answer. We then ended up talking and he came over. He said he was sorry and I couldn’t even get mad abt what he said because he was upset about his mom calling him lazy and useless when he works and helps out all the time. He had a break down and cried so Ofc I ended up comforting him.
