Has anyone’s little ones had hives?

My son came out with rashes yesterday afternoon. Rang doctors they said it was hives from the pictures and gave me piriton in baby form to give him. They disappeared after a few hours. 
 He got them back today even worse! They don’t bother him, he doesn’t itch, when I touch them he doesn’t moan and they don’t feel hot too touch! 
Has anyone else’s baby had hives? Does this look like hives? I don’t even know why you get hives!

My first son kept breaking out in hives sometime before he turned 2 years old. We were told to give him benedryl but the gives kept coming back. His doctor finally had us start him on Zyrtec since it had been going on for a while and it helped. Then he got allergy tested it came as a mild milk allergy, cat dander, and dust. We had to take him off cows milk for a month to see if it stopped his hives. It made them a little better but they would.still come back. So i put him back on milk but switched to 2% instead of the whole milk, and the hives stopped shortly after that. So that was our experience! The whole thing still boggles my mind as to what was causing it. He occasionally would get them for a day or two after all this but now its pretty rare. He's now 4 and only got them once this past year for a few days. I would just say keep in contact with pediatrician to make sure they are aware what's working and not. Maybe allergy testing will be needed if they continue and you can't rule out the cause.

My son got a couple random splotches that came and went quickly.  Never really figured out why. Is it hotter than usual where you are. Could just be from the heat
