Filling out lease online? Asking for more info-SSN

So I'm filling out my first apartment lease online. I submitted it yesterday and one of the staff emailed me today asking for a copy of my drivers licence, SSN and proof of income and she said I can just email them to her.
...
But I'm kind of sketched out about it because I already put my licenes number and SSN on the application, so why are they emailing me asking for it again?? Am i just parinoid or dose it sound sketchy? How do i know their email is safe?   Would it be better to do it over the phone?

I work in property management. asking for SS# is very standard. they need to be able to verify your identity through a background check.

I don't send photos of my SS card to anyone. If I can't provide it in person (like for a job) then I'm not doing it.

It happens sometimes, especially if they try and run your SSN or id for a background check and credit check and it cant find you, then you have to prove thats your SSN and stuff so they are able to go back to the company they use for them to be able to go to SS office and have them flag it and run it differently

I wouldn’t be comfortable with sending in my social security.. Ive never had to do that for the leases I’ve signed..

I have had to provide a picture of my drivers license when signing a lease online but never been asked for a picture of my ssn

A copy of your Drivers license and proof of income is normal. Social security card is not.

They shouldn’t need a copy of your SS card. I would push back against their request.
